MY APPORACH TO THERAPY
THERAPY WITH ME IS JUDGEMENT FREE.
First things first, you do not have to apologize if you have a “potty language” because I’ll have “potty language” with you if it makes you feel comfortable. I am all about showing up as your authentic self! If you want a down-to-earth therapist… you’re in the right spot. I often tell my clients it is not my goal to keep you in therapy forever. I want you to move on from me, or at least have maintenance sessions once per month.
Many of today’s solutions for prenatal and postpartum emotions are drawn out leading so many to feel dependent on their therapist, or like they’re not making real progress. I know that your circumstances are unique, so every step we take is tailored to you, and always with an end goal in mind.
First we, examine what is actually happening in your life…. discovering the things you want to change and that are causing the emotions you are feeling as a mom or woman going through the journey of motherhood. Then, we work on how we can shift your thoughts, feelings and beliefs in a way that will be most effective for you.
When working with me, you’ll be equipped with the skills and confidence you need to thrive in your journey through motherhood. My goal is to meet you where you are and let you know you are not alone at any point. At the end of each session you will walk away with at least one strategy that you can use in between sessions to practice caring for yourself.

My training in maternal mental health means that I have the expertise you need and deserve when healing from all things mom related. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to be a mom or woman struggling through the motherhood journey, right?
I get it because I’ve lived every aspect of my expertise myself (from fertility challenges, ectopic pregnancies, IVF treatment, birth trauma, postpartum anxiety and overwhelm as a twin mom… and even the married single mom dynamic). I have also helped many other moms and women through this phase of life. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist; You will get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
Random things about me:
I have IVF twins who are now six years old.
I am divorced.
I love CrossFit workouts.
I bake FIRE homemade chocolate chip cookies.
I cry every episode of Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19.
I believe in making my life easier, so I often let my kids wear “morning clothes” to bed.
I wake up at 4:30am to do self-care and prepare for the day.

TREATMENT MODALITIES
EMDR Therapy- This is an amazing form of therapy that allows you to process trauma without talking about it. I’ve used it myself for childhood trauma.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- CBT helps you to transform the way you think and behave in your life.
Solution Focused Therapy- I am all about results and finding solutions and this is what SFT will help you to do too! I don’t believe in suffering, we can make the choice to give ourselves a path of helping ourselves.
Supportive Therapy- You’ll know I am using this form of treatment when you hear me validating your feelings and experiences. A lot of us benefit from this form of therapy. Sometimes we just need to vent before combining our discussions with the other forms of therapy listed here.
Motivational Interviewing Therapy- I often tell people I have 50 million questions, but it’s really to help you gain clarity over your life and live it the way YOU desire.
